Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hey guys!,...Lalo here, felling a little bit down (I think I'm getting a bit sick), so my writing abilities are not that good...I need some rest; but before I past-out,I will really like that one of you young souls buy me a premiere supcripcition to DA, to keep bringing joy to all the kids of the world, so...LOVE YA!, c'mon!, I know you have rich parents and no real expenses.

I live in México's number 1 murder town, I need to keep my pocket change for ammo and ransom money. I'm sure that you guys living in the good-old USA have guns to keep the monsters away from your fridge, but its getting pretty crazy, so k'mon fat kid, fork-it-over...or else I might just illegally cross the border and plant one of does anchor babies your women are fear so much.
